Fixie Bike Frame
- A bicycle frame is the main component of a bicycle, on to which wheels and other components are fitted. The modern and most common frame design for an upright bicycle is based on the safety bicycle, and consists of two triangles, a main triangle and a paired rear triangle.

- A fixed-gear bicycle (or fixed-wheel bicycle, commonly known in the USA as a fixie) is a bicycle that has no freewheel, meaning it cannot coast — the pedals are always in motion when the bicycle is moving.
- Although there are different designs, most fixie bicycles are among the simplest two-wheelers on the road and trail. They’re usually comprised of a frame, wheels, bars, stem, seat, seatpost, crankset, pedals and chain.

Here’s the frame, as it arrived from eBay, pretty scratched and chipped, but no apparent dents. A little rust, but nothing major.
It’s going back up to Mercian Cycles for a renovation, remove all brazings (cable guides etc) and respray all in one colour.

After filing the wheel lugs to accept a 10mm axle I popped in the wheel from my Ribble to check how much drop any brake callipers would need. Turns out its 65mm!
